Dr. Sheva Quinn is a retired United States Air Force veteran with 20 years of active duty military service. She is a proud mother of two beautiful teenage girls. She is also the African American History Professor at the Black Classical University, a private micro-school she started in 2014 to teach Black history to homeschooled students. While on active duty and at 19, Dr. Quinn began her career as a professional educator. She has earned five degrees and countless certifications in education, business, non-profit development, grant writing, and entrepreneurship.
In 2012, Dr. Quinn retired from the military, and in 2014 she left the classroom to homeschool her girls. During that time, she started two for-profit businesses and a non-profit organization. During the COVID-19 pandemic, She taught African American history to over 5K online students, earning her national recognition and awards. In addition to educating the nation, during the pandemic, Dr. Quinn singlehandedly grew her family’s bakery; Ziggy and Tootie Cakes, to a 6-figure bakery in less than a year, earning the title, Best Bakery in Georgia, 2022.
As a self-made entrepreneur, Dr. Quinn teaches Black women how to start and grow family businesses and non-profit organizations from scratch while raising amazing children.
Dr. Quinn has mentored over 40K women and families in home education and business. She has written five books and countless articles on business and education. She has been featured on local and national platforms, including ABC, NBC, and PBS news.
